La Salle Academy in Iligan, Lanao del Norte was created as part of a medium term campus plan. Prior to its construction, prayers were held in the school gym or other open spaces in the campus. Construction was challenged during the Marawi siege as this part of Southern Philippines was hit by armed conflict.

Upon completion, Br Butch Alcudia FSC took his final vows and marked the opening of the house of prayer to the public.
